Pain Medicine

Girish Juneja M.D. is the President, CEO and co-founder of the West Michigan Surgery Center. After working in the Big Rapids area as a Pain Medicine physician for several years, Dr. Juneja realized that there was an urgent need for surgical pain intervention, but no local options for this kind of advance care were available for his patients. To address this need he opened the West Michigan Surgery Center (WMSC) in June of 2006 and since that time has continued to expand his facility in order to better serve the residents of Big Rapids and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Juneja attended medical school at India’s celebrated Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) and completed his residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in June of 1997. Dr. Juneja possesses an extensive background in orthopedic spinal surgery and treatments. He is board certified in both Physical Medicine/ Rehabilitation and Pain Management.

Mark Clark M.D. brought his skills in Pain Management to our West Michigan Surgery Center team in June of 2015. Dr. Clark graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Indiana University in 1985, followed by a board certification in Anesthesia in 1991. He participated in a Chronic Pain Fellowship through the University of Toronto in 2008 and received his second board certification in Pain Medicine in 2009.

Ronald P. Kufner, M.D.Ronald Kufner completed medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, and completed his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota.  He joined the staff of Mayo Clinic following his training, and later joined a private group practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Dr. Kufner completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Florida, and is double Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Naeem Haider MD

Naeem Haider, M.D. attended medical school at Peshawar Khybar Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his Anesthesia residency at the University of Illinois June of 1997 with an additional degree in Pain Medicine earned following a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in December of 1998. Dr. Haider possesses an extensive medical background and is board certified in both anesthesia and pain management.

Rashmi Juneja M.D.– attended the prestigious Gandhi Medical College located in Bhopal, India. She completed her residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo and was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1999. Dr. Juneja and has an extensive background in internal medicine, endoscopy and disease processes affecting the digestive system.

Aleksandar Tosic, M.D.– attended medical school at the University Edvard Kardelj, Ljubljana, Slovenia (YU), his medical residency at RMC, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina (YU), and his orthopedic residency at the Special Orthopaedic Surgery Hospital in Banjica, Belgrade, YU.  Dr Tosic completed fellowships in the orthopedic specialty both at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, NY, in January of 1993, and at Barnes Hospital/Washington University, St. Louis, MO in 1994.  He undertook an additional fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma at the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, OH in 1999.
