Girish_Juneja

Pain Medicine

Girish Juneja M.D. is the President, CEO and co-founder of the West Michigan Surgery Center. After working in the Big Rapids area as a Pain Medicine physician for several years, Dr. Juneja realized that there was an urgent need for surgical pain intervention, but no local options for this kind of advance care were available for his patients. To address this need he opened the West Michigan Surgery Center (WMSC) in June of 2006 and since that time has continued to expand his facility in order to better serve the residents of Big Rapids and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Juneja attended medical school at India’s celebrated Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) and completed his residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in June of 1997. Dr. Juneja possesses an extensive background in orthopedic spinal surgery and treatments. He is board certified in both Physical Medicine/ Rehabilitation and Pain Management. Dr. Juneja’s current list of procedures include:

Mark Clark M.D. brought his skills in Pain Management to our West Michigan Surgery Center team in June of 2015. Dr. Clark graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Indiana University in 1985, followed by a board certification in Anesthesia in 1991. He participated in a Chronic Pain Fellowship through the University of Toronto in 2008 and received his second board certification in Pain Medicine in 2009. Dr. Clark’s current list of procedures include:

Endoscopy

Rashmi Juneja M.D.– attended the prestigious Gandhi Medical College located in Bhopal, India. She completed her residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo and was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1999. Dr. Juneja and has an extensive background in internal medicine, endoscopy and disease processes affecting the digestive system. Dr. Juneja’s current list of procedures include:

  • Colonoscopy
  • Esophagogastroduodenosocpy
  • Sigmoidoscopy
  • Esophageal and Pyloric Dilatation
  • Endosopic Hemorrhoid Banding

Allan Coates D.O.– attended medical school at Des Moines University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in May of 1980 and completed his residency at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital in June of 1983. He completed a clinical fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1985 and was Board Certified in Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology in 1986. Dr. Coates is a published author and has been practicing Gastroenterology in the West Michigan region for over 30 years. Dr. Coates’ current list of procedures include:

Urology

John Lobo M.D. joined our team of talented surgeons in November of 2016.

Dr. Lobo graduated from State University of New York- Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in May of 1999 and completed his Urology residency at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in June of 1985. He received his Board Certification from the American Board of Urology in 2007; and has had a successful practice providing a wide variety of urological treatments to the residents of western Michigan since that time. Dr. Lobo’s current list of procedures at WMSC include:

  • Bladder Bladder incontinence treatment
  • Trial and permanent NeuroStimulator implantation
  • Cystoscopy
  • Adult Circumcision
  • Painless Vasectomy
